'Shocking, can't put grief in words.' Amitabh Bachchan mourns Puneeth Rajkumar's sudden death

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan remembered Kannada star Puneeth Rajkumar after the actor's sudden death on October 29. The actor was 46. Bachchan paid a tribute to the late star who passed away following a heart attack., saying his untimely death was shocking.
The powerstar actor, Puneeth, was well-known for films such as 'Appu', 'Veera Kannadiga' and 'Maurya'. The actor breathed his last on Friday after he complained of a chest pain and was rushed to a hospital in Bengalurur.
The 46-year-old actor was the son of matinee idol the late Rajkumar and Parvathamma. Remembering the late actor, Bachchan took to his blog post late Friday evening and wrote he was saddened by two deaths of close ones -- Puneeth and that of a family friend.
"There have been two deaths of the near and dear since the morning and there is a grief that cannot be put in words. One of them, the news has been shocking," Bachchan said.
'A star in his own right' In his post, Bachchan further said that Puneeth was a star in his own right and losing him was a great shock to everyone.
"Puneet Rajkumar, the younger son of the legendary icon of Kannada cinema , Raj Kumar and a star in his own right , passed away today. He was just 46 years, and this has put all of us in great shock. The family of late Raj Kumar have ever been extremely close. My prayers condolences," the 79-year-old actor further added.

The Kannada star's sudden death was mourned by many including politicians, actors, friends and fans. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, were among those who paid their condolences to the late actor and his family. Apart from the political leaders, several big names from the South film industry, including veteran actor Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Siddharth, as well as names from Bollywood like Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt, also paid tributes to the actor.
Puneeth, who was known to be a fitness enthusiast, was rushed to Vikram Hospital after he complained of chest pain following a two-hour workout in the gym, doctors treating him said. He died shortly after.
The actor began his career as a child artist appearing in movies like 'Thayige Thakka Maga', 'Vasantha Geetha' and 'Bhagyavantha'.
He made his debut as a leading man with 2002 movie 'Appu' and was since fondly known as Appu by his fans. He also starred in films such as 'Abhi', 'Ajay' and 'Arasu'.

Puneeth, who had established himself as one of the marquee names of Kannada film industry , was the youngest of the five children of matinee idol Dr. Rajkumar. Born in Chennai, he took a liking to the big screen early on in life when his actor-father would bring him and his sister Poornima to film sets.
