PUBG now a part of Google’s Stadia game catalogue, comes with cross-play feature; FIFA, Madden NFL also in the line-up

Among the games from the EA Games stable that will make it to Stadia will be Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, FIFA, and Madden NFL.
Google’s cloud gaming service Stadia announced that it will bring out several popular games by third party studios like Electronic Arts (EA) Games later this year. Some of the games that will become a part of the Stadia catalogue include PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), which has become one of the most popular smartphone games of all time.

PUBG will be free for members of Stadia Pro. The y will also be given the new Cold Front season pass. Stadia Free members will have to unlock the base game by paying a fee of $29.99 or get the season pass bundle for $39.99.

Stadia will also support cross-play for PUBG, enabling users to play against friends on gaming consoles. Moreover, Google today introduced a new feature on Stadia whereby users can click a game link and instantly go to the play screen. This feature has been rolled out for Stadia Pro members. Experts say that this feature is likely to find mention in promotional videos on Google’s sister platform YouTube.


Among the games from the EA Games stable that will make it to Stadia will be Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, FIFA, and Madden NFL. Google has not mentioned exact release dates for these three titles, beyond the information that they’ll be on the platform by fall 2020.

Google is also planning to debut Crayta exclusively for Stadia Pro subscribers. Powered by Unreal Editor 4, Crayta is a collaborative game creation tool that allows users to create multiplayer games and share them with friends and family.

They claim it’s the world’s thinnest mobile phone (it’s a feature phone but has a 0.96-inch colour display). It also has physical number and navigation buttons. Other features include a nano SIM slot, microSD slot for storage, 3.5mm jack, built-in dual mics, a call receiver speaker, loudspeaker, front camera and rear camera.
