PM Modi attends Priyanka-Nick's dazzling Delhi reception, gifts them a rose each

NEW DELHI: Two days after their lavish wedding, newly-weds Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas hosted a reception in Delhi for family and friends.
One of the special guests to arrive at the wedding was PM Narendra Modi. Priyanka Chopra's mother Madhu escorted PM Modi to the stage, where he gifted a rose each to the newly-weds.
Modi was dressed in a white kurta-pyjama with a black Nehru jacket. He spent about 10 minutes talking to the couple exchanging pleasantries and sharing moments of laughter.
The bride also introduced PM to her brother-in-law Joe Jonas and his fiancé actress Sophie Turner, who also plan to get married in the summer of 2019.

The bride was ethereal in silver blush beaded lehenga by Falguni Shane Peacock and custom jewellery by Delhi-based Khanna Jewellers, while the groom looked dapper in a velvet tuxedo.
Chopra's designer revealed that it took 12000 hours (500 days or over 16 months) and 80 craftsmen to create the custom outfit. Her traditional, bespoke ensemble was embedded with crystals, and hand-embroidered motifs like elephants, birds, flowers and butterflies from the Jodhpur wedding.
They posed against a backdrop of their initials 'NP', the one similar to what they had at their wedding and Roka ceremony.
The couple posed for the media smiling and holding hands right before the reception. The Chopras and Jonases joined them for a family picture.

The 'Game of Thrones' star and her soon-to-be husband looked dazzling together. While the actress opted for a peach lehenga with gold embellishments by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Joe kept it simple in navy blue suit.

On Monday, the couple posed for shutterbugs as they left from Jodhpur for their Delhi reception.
Chopra dazzled in a bottle green saree, wearing sindoor (vermillion) and 'chooda' (a set of red bangles traditionally worn by newly-wed women) with husband Jonas, who opted for a plain brown suit with white sneakers.
Jonas's elder brother Kevin, along with his wife Danielle, Parineeti Chopra and her parents, among others, were spotted at the Jodhpur airport on Monday.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, who tied the knot in a Christian ceremony at Jodhpur's Umaid Bhawan palace on Saturday, took to Instagram to share pictures from their sangeet ceremony. It was a night of love and laughter as the couples' families and friends grooved the night away.
The 36-year-old actress wrote on Instagram, "Nick and I were looking forward to the sangeet (musical evening), another pre-wedding ritual... and to see what each side had put together. And what a performance it was."
Both the families narrated the couple's love story through song and dance.
