When Priti Rathi Gupta arrived at a women’s forum in Mumbai recently, she sported a splash of colour to her otherwise black and white outfit. It wasn’t a colourful accessory that did the job, but some mehendi on her hand.

Turns out, the Anand Rathi MD recently had an Indian-themed reunion with her Harvard batch mates in Delhi and Jaipur. “I am the chair of that batch and we recently got together in a mela-like setting with puppet shows and mehendi stalls. There were 90 people from 22 different countries,” she told ETPanache.

This was no regular college reunion either, she said. “We were a part of a special program called the Owner/President Management (OPM) at Harvard and graduated just last year. While this was an official reunion, we keep having mini-get togethers often. We did one in Romania some time ago.”

Keeping in touch comes naturally to Rathi. “The one thing that ties people together is money. If you have invested in each other, you will go beyond it all and remain connected,” she said.

"We created OPM connect, a network and pledge fund for global social impact investing. Investing in a cause collectively as a unit keeps you well connected and knit together."
