Prabhas did not donate Rs 50 cr to Ram Mandir! ‘Salaar’ star’s team rebuffs ‘fake news’

‘Salaar’ star Prabhas, recently rebuffed all rumours of him donating Rs 50 crore for the consecration of the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. There were also rumours about him sponsoring food expenses doing the rounds on social media, which the Telugu actor also repudiated.

In an interview with India Today, the ‘Baahubali’ star’s team set the record straight and called all the rumours as “fake news.”

On the work front, Prabhas is currently basking on the phenomenal success of his recent outing ‘Salaar’. Also starring Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran, the action-thriller has crossed Rs 400 crore in India.


It is not yet known if the ‘Baahubali’ actor has received an invitation to the Ram Temple consecration ceremony.

Where It All Started

News of the superstar donating a huge sum for Ram Mandir went viral on several social media after Cirla Jaggireddy, an MLA in Andhra Pradesh made the claim. At an event, the politician said, “The one who earns money and decides to share it with others is great. Prabhas is one such person, he has agreed to donate money to Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He has agreed to sponsor the food for the people attending.”

A media handle named Milagro Movies shared a clip of the speech and wrote, “Man with a Gold Heart.” The post gained more than 99K views on X.
