Hailing from Bhimavaram in Andhra Pradesh, Subbaraju has built a remarkable career in the Indian film industry. He began his journey with a serendipitous entry into cinema, a chance encounter with director Krishna Vamsi that led to his debut in Khadgam. His breakthrough came with Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi, where he shared the screen with Ravi Teja under the direction of Puri Jagannadh. Subbaraju then carved a niche for himself with memorable roles in Arya, Pokiri, Billa, Khaleja, and the blockbuster Baahubali: The Conclusion in which he played the role of Kumar Verma.
Over the years, Subbaraju has showcased his versatility by portraying a range of characters, from villains to supporting roles, across Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi films. His performances in Bbuddah… Hoga Terra Baap, Mirchi, Leader, and Temper remain fan favorites. Notably, his portrayal of Kumara Varma in Baahubali 2 earned him a dedicated fan base in Japan.
