Politicians, CEOs & Bollywood - a starry turnout at Chanda Kochhar daughter's wedding

The Kochhar residence must still reel from a wedding hangover, post their daughter, Aarti Kochhar's wedding celebrations from last week. Aarti, daughter of ICICI Bank MD & CEO Chanda Kochhar, married fellow University of Pennsylvania graduate, Aditya Kaji, in a ceremony that took place across four days and three five-star hotels in Mumbai.

The marriage ceremony, held on November 30 at Taj Lands End in suburban Mumbai, was conducted as per the Hindu traditions. It was a solemn ceremony accompanied by the chanting of Vedic mantras, according to the family. The guests were given a booklet of the entire ceremony and the mantras so that they could also follow the same.

The ceremony was telecast live on giant LED screens. The attendees at the wedding included the who's who of the corporate and political world. Among them were PC Chidambaram, Nitin Gadkari, Uddhav and Rashmi Thackeray, Anand Mahindra, Uday Kotak, Dilip Shanghvi, Sunil Mittal, Rahul Bajaj, Kumar Mangalam Birla and Swati and Ajay Piramal.

Even HDFC Ltd's chairman Deepak Parekh managed to make it to the wedding on November 30, after returning from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, where he celebrated his younger son Siddharth's wedding over the weekend.
