PM Narendra Modi gives shout-out to Korean Embassy for their ‘adorable’ dance cover of ‘Naatu Naatu’

The magic of ‘Naatu Naatu’ refuses to recede. The chartbuster from Rajamouli’s magnum opus, ‘RRR’ has taken the world by storm. Apart from doing wonders at the awards circuit, the song has the world grooving to its beat.

The South Korean embassy in New Delhi recently shared a video of its staff shaking a leg to the superhit song. The embassy shared a video clip on its social media handle with the caption, “Do you know Naatu? We are happy to share with you, the Korean Embassy’s Naatu Naatu dance cover. See the Korean Ambassador Chang Jae-bok along with the embassy staff Naatu Naatu!! "

The video shows various officials dancing their hearts out to the beat. Chang Jae-bok, the South Korean envoy to India, is seen rocking a rendition of the famous hook step performed by Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the song.

The clip soon went viral on the microblogging platform, gaining 3.7 million views and over 36K likes.

On Monday (February 27)) PM, Narendra Modi took to Twitter to gush over the rendition. Retweeting the video, he wrote, “Lively and adorable team effort.”
Others also shared his sentiment. One Twitter user wrote, “An excellent initiative. A fitting tribute to bilateral relations. How well can a song and dance sequence unite!” A second user chimed in, “Wow! Cam Za Mida!”.

‘Naatu Naatu’ continues its dream run at the awards circuit. Aside from making India proud by bagging a Golden Globe in the category of Best Original Song, the song has also been nominated for an Oscar in the same category.

The track has been composed by MM Keeravani and sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Kala Bhairawa. It is picturised on an energetic dance performance by Ram Charan and Jr. NTR.

‘RRR’ proved to be a major commercial and critical success. It was one of the highest-grossing movies of 2022, earning more than Rs 12,00 crore at the global box-office.
