Photographer's delight: Redmi Note 6 Pro with portrait lighting & AI scene detection launched at Rs 15,999

The Redmi Note series is one of the top selling smartphone range of Xiaomi. The Redmi Note 5 Pro launched last year in this range sold over a million units in India and now Xiaomi its successor.

Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a number of updates over the Note 5 Pro. It has a 6.2-inch Notch style display with 19:9 aspect ratio and resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. It is protected by Gorilla Glass. Hardware specifications include Octa core. Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, 64GB storage and 4000 mAh battery. It will come in two RAM variants - 4GB and 6GB. For connectivity, it had 4G, VoLTE, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a micro USB port.




In the camera department, the Redmi Note 6 Pro has a 12MP (f1.9) + 5MP (f2.2) dual rear camera with dual pixel phase detection autofocus, AI scene detection, studio lighting, adjustable bokeh and improved portrait mode. On the front also it has a dual camera setup - 20MP (f2.0) + 2MP (f2.2) with portrait lighting support and AI scene detection. Both cameras come with HDR support and Xiaomi has also increased the sensor size of rear as well as front camera for better low light performance.

Other features include P2i water repellent nano technology, dual SIM slot, expandable storage, rear fingerprint scanner and MiUi 10 based on Android 8.1 with features like Face unlock and WiFi passthrough.

Redmi Note 6 Pro is priced at Rs 13,999 for 4GB RAM and Rs 15,999 for 6GB RAM option. It will go on sale exclusively on Mi online store and Flipkart starting 23rd November 2018. For the first sale on Black Friday, the Redmi Note 6 Pro will be available at a special price of Rs 12,999 and Rs 14,999.
