Philanthropist Meera Gandhi hosts party to honour Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward

Global philanthropist Meera Gandhi hosted an afternoon reception recently in honour of Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex in New York.

The reception took place in her Park Avenue residence, previously the historic home of former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt.

Apart from Prince Edward, other attendants included actress Jill Zarin, Marla Maples (Donald Trump’s ex-wife), Peter Brown (part of the Beatles’ management team) and Sharon Bush.

The conversation and champagne f lowed through the afternoon while guests also enjoyed a light meal of cous cous salad, turkey, tuna and cheese sandwiches and a kale and avocado salad.

And of course, the event ended on a sweet note with masala tea and cookies doing the rounds as guests mingled.
