Phelps to start the Michael Phelps Swimming program in Mumbai

You would have never guessed that once upon a time, 22-time Olympic medal winner Michael Phelps was actually scared of the water. But, after enrolling in the North Baltimore Swim School, he conquered his fear with a vengeance and became one of most decorated athletes of all time.

This experience prompted Phelps to start the Michael Phelps Swimming program for which he is CEO and President. And now the program, available to both adults and children, launches in India on April 11, starting with Mumbai.

Disappointingly, Phelps himself isn't flying down to India to open the program, but Cathy Bennett, his first ever swim instructor, will be here along with her team to assist with the launch and training.
