Pharma tycoon Dilip Shanghvi's daughter spent her bachelorette in Tuscany

What is a well-known fact by now is that the wedding of pharma tycoon Dilip Shanghvi's daughter Vidhi with Vivek Salgaocar, son of Goa-based Shiv and Ranjana Salgaocar, was a grand affair. Held in Mumbai earlier this month, several high-profile guests were in attendance. But the celebrations had begun long before the knot was tied.

In the run-up to the February wedding, last October, the young bride who is a Wharton graduate, and her girl pals took off to the vineyards of Florence in Tuscany. Tuscany, with its hills and picturesque towns, has long attracted chic and wealthy travellers and is one of the most-visited regions in Italy.

In 2015, Rohan Mehta, son of Petrochem MD Yogesh Mehta, and London-based Roshni Khemlani tied the knot in Florence, with the celebrations billed at Rs 140 crore.

As for Vidhi and Vivek's wedding, it was spread across four days and multiple venues in the city. For the after-party, the guests moved to Goa for some sun, sea and surf.
