Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man trailer shows Tommy Shelby's return for explosive father–son showdown. Check release date, plot, cast
Netflix has released the trailer of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, bringing Cillian Murphy back as Tommy Shelby for what is expected to be the final chapter of the story. Set in 1940 during World War II, the film follows a broken and isolated T...

The trailer makes it clear that Tommy’s past has not left him. It opens with Rebecca Ferguson’s character confronting him about the damage he has caused. She tells him, “Tommy, you live in a house haunted with ghosts of people who died because of you. You abandoned your kingdom, and you abandoned your son.”
Tommy Shelby meets his son Duke
One of the biggest moments in the trailer is Tommy’s first meeting with his illegitimate son Duke Shelby, played by Barry Keoghan, who reprises his role from Season 6. Duke is now leading the Peaky Blinders in his father’s absence.Ada Shelby, played by Sophie Rundle, informs Tommy that Duke is “running the Peaky Blinders like it’s 1919 all over again.” The line signals that the gang has returned to its ruthless roots.
Duke himself appears defiant and detached. At one point he says, “The world don’t give a f*** about me, and I don’t give a f*** about the world.” The trailer hints at a growing divide between father and son, especially as outside political forces begin circling.
Tim Roth joins the cast as a British fascist sympathiser who attempts to influence Duke, even asking whether he would betray his own country to help Germany win the war. This emerging threat seems to push Tommy back into action.
Tommy returns to fight
Stephen Graham returns as Hayden Stagg, who tells Tommy, “I’ve heard you decided this wasn’t your war.” Tommy’s response is brief but clear: “It is now.”The footage shows Tommy walking back into the Garrison Pub, a place closely linked to his authority in earlier seasons. There is also a tense moment when someone asks, “Who is Tommy Shelby?” To that, Tommy replies, “Perhaps someone should explain to him who I am,” followed by an explosion that suggests he is ready to reclaim his name.
Reflecting on his journey, Tommy says in the trailer, “Once, I nearly got f****** everything, but nearly doesn’t count.” In another scene, he admits about his son, “I can't help him because I'm not that man anymore.”
Steven Knight told Entertainment Weekly that the emotional focus of the film is the bond between Tommy and Duke. “The father and son were the main structures,” he said. He also explained that while the original plan was to end the story with the first siren of World War II, the film now takes place in 1940. “It was always the plan to finish with a feature film. It’s a good way to end it,” Knight added.
