Highlights
- Musk had earlier briefly introduced the $8 monthly subscription service
- While that service is currently on hold, Paytm boss has a message Musk
- Sharma's request came as a reply to a fake account pretending to be Paytm care
And in order to verify such accounts, Musk had earlier introduced the $8 monthly subscription service that will offer blue-tick to anyone who pays the amount.
While that service is currently on hold, Paytm boss Vijay Shekhar Sharma has a message for the world's richest man.
Sharma on Wednesday took to Twitter to put in his request for which the Paytm boss said that he is willing to pay not just $8 but $80 a month.
But there's a catch. Sharma doesn't want a blue-tick verification next to his username on Twitter. If you notice, he already has one. What he wants is the eradication of fake accounts pretending to be Paytm on the social network.
The Paytm boss wants all the fake accounts impersonating as Paytm services on Twitter to be blocked.
"Dear @elonmusk we will pay $80/month, if you give us methods to fast forward blocking fake accounts impersonating @PaytmCare handles here. (hint: they use our copyrighted logo in DP)

While Musk hasn’t yet replied to the Paytm chief, we are sure that Sharma’s wishes will soon be fulfilled as it already aligns with the SpaceX chief’s current goals for Twitter.
After a chaotic week following the initial launch of Twitter's $8 subscription service, Musk has had time to brainstorm and come up with a solution to stop fake accounts from spreading misinformation on the microblogging platform or impersonating someone else.
Meanwhile, blue-coloured ticks will be made available for celebrities and other individuals.
