Yes, you read it right. Pawan Kalyan’s journey in martial arts spans over three decades, beginning with Karate in his early years in Chennai. Over time, his practice evolved into an in-depth study of Samurai traditions. According to NDTV report, his commitment was further honed under the mentorship of Hanshi Professor Dr Siddiq Mahmoodi, under whom he achieved high-level proficiency in Kendo, the modern iteration of Japanese sword arts.The actor’s efforts were formally recognised with the 5th Dan (Fifth Dan) from the Sogo Budo Kanri Kai, one of the most respected authorities in traditional Japanese martial arts. This honour represents not just technical mastery but a lifetime of dedication, patience, and respect for the traditions of the art form. Remarkably, Kalyan has also become the first Telugu-speaking individual to be inducted into the Takeda Shingen Clan under the lineage of Soke Muramatsu Sensei.
After learning about this, actress Sriya Reddy praised Pawan Kalyan and congratulated him.
