Paris in Mumbai! As Hilton lands in India for 'Ruby Rush', amused fans joke about portable fan in her hand

Socialite and fashion icon Paris Hilton arrived in Mumbai this Wednesday to promote her new fragrance in India. ‘The Simple Life’ star was seen greeting a crowd of fans with her signature megawatt smile, as he stepped out of the airport dressed in black velvet outfit with a portable fan in her hand.

The American socialite clicked selfies with the excited crowd gathered outside to catch a glimpse of her . This is Hilton’s fourth visit to India.

According to reports, the celebrity is in B-town on a two-day promotional trip for her new venture, a fragrance called Ruby Rush.


As the pictures and videos of Hilton from Mumbai airport made their way on the Internet, netizens couldn’t help but notice the portable fan in the model’s hand.

One commented, “Little fan in hand. I like it.” Another added, “Carrying a portable fan lol. Prepared for Indian heat.”

Many others remarked how she looked like she hadn’t aged a day in the last ten years. “What does she eat? How does she still look like what she did in 2005,” wondered another social media user.

Some of the comments were a little more tongue-in-cheek and catty. One commenter wrote, “To those who don’t know about Paris, once her secretary was Kim Kardashian.” Another described the socialite as a “universal icon”.

The Hilton hotel heiress, 41, was seen in a simple, black velvet zipper jacket and matching track pants. She completed the casual-chic look with black sunglasses and a cute little cap.

Hilton’s first visit to India was in 2011, following her most memorable trip to India in 2012 when she walked the ramp for Falguni and Shane Peacock at the India Resort Fashion Week in Goa. She was accompanied by her then boyfriend River Viiperi during that trip.

Over the years, Hilton has donned multiple hats. Aside from acting, modelling and appearing in reality TV shows, she has also launched several successful businesses.

In 2004, Hilton launched her first perfume in 2004 (named eponymously as ‘Paris Hilton’) which became a runaway hit within a short period. It also led to a fragrance empire of over 25 perfumes that minted over $3billion in 2021. She has also launched her own line of accessories and handbags.

On the work front, Hilton was last seen as a guest in the podcast ‘Archetypes’ hosted by Meghan Markle the Duchess of Sussex.
