Paraman OTT release date out: When and where to watch the Tamil legal drama online?

Paraman, the Tamil drama film directed by J. Sabarish, is scheduled to make its digital premiere after a delayed transition from theatres to streaming platforms. Originally released in cinemas on November 29, 2024, the film did not perform well at the box office and garnered mixed reactions from viewers. Despite the lukewarm commercial response, the performances—particularly that of lead actor Supergood Subramani—received appreciation from critics.

After facing difficulties in securing an OTT platform, the film will finally begin streaming on Sun NXT from May 1, 2025. Sun NXT made the official announcement on X, stating, "His land. His fight. His story. Paraman arriving this May 1! Paraman streaming from May 1 on Sun NXT."

Paraman Plot Overview

The story follows Paraman, a committed farmer played by Supergood Subramani, whose life descends into turmoil due to betrayal and systemic injustice. His partner, Sadai, aims to seize Paraman's ancestral land by creating forged documents. With the backing of the police, Sadai increases the pressure on Paraman, forcing him into a legal confrontation. Paraman refuses to give in and successfully reclaims his land through a court victory. Just as he begins to rebuild, another blow lands when the government announces plans to take over the property for a proposed bypass road.

Paraman, once again, turns to the legal system, choosing resistance over surrender. The prolonged legal battle begins to fracture his personal life. His son is sent to prison, and his daughter-in-law leaves the household, leaving Paraman and his wife, Kannathaal, alone in a deteriorating cottage. The film poses a compelling question through its narrative—whether justice truly triumphs or if the system continues to disappoint those it claims to protect.

Supergood Subramani leads the cast as the titular character, Paraman. The film also stars Vaiyapuri as Sivanandi, Pala Karuppaiyah as Malaisamy, and Hello Kandasamy as Karuppu. Supporting roles are played by Vetrivel Raja as Koonan, Meesai Rajendran as Nehru, VJ Archana as the Collector, and Ashok Tamizh as Veeran.
