If the beginning of January was all about the New Year's resolutions and marathons, the last week of the month was a high-point for art aficionados in Mumbai. Among the art weekends and shows that graced the city, The Taj Art Gallery in Colaba opened its doors for an exhibit by award-winning Manglorean artist, Madhusudan Kumar from January 22 to 29.

The art gallery, founded in 1963 and re-opened in February 2016, has been a launchpad for many celebrated artists like the late M F Hussain, Jehangir Sabavala, VS Gaitonde and Laxman Shreshta, among others.the exhibition was inaugurated by actress Mahima Chaudhry.
