Oxigen and Paytm's battle over the cricket pitch
The payment wallet war thickens, this time on the pitch. Both Oxigen and Paytm are fighting for eyeballs while the boys play cricket — Oxigen is the sponsor for the South Africa T20 team, while Paytm is sponsoring the ground rights of Indian matches in India.

Ankur Saxena, whose family owns Oxigen, tells ETPanache, "The thought crossed our mind (Paytm's sponsorship) but we evaluated and decided to do few other things that would give us more ROI (return on investment)," he said. Saxena brushes off the idea of a payment wallet war. "No (laughs). I wouldn't call it rivalry. The market is big enough to have multiple players as in almost every space. They will do their thing and we will do ours. We will see how things flow," he said elusively. Wait and watch — good strategy.
