#Oscars2017: Warren Beatty goofs up, awards ‘La La Land’ best film instead of ‘Moonlight’
It was a goof-up at the Oscars 2017, thanks to Warren Beatty. The actor, who along with Faye Dunaway, was supposed to present the Best Film citation, was at the receiving end after he announced ‘La La Land’ as the winner.

All hell broke loose on stage after it emerged that not Damien Chizelle’s musical but ‘Moonlight’ was the rightful winner.

"This was not a joke," Beatty assured everyone, after admitting to the mistake.

He told the audience that they had read the wrong envelope, seeing Emma Stone won for ‘La La Land’, who was actually the winner for best actress.
