The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) has unveiled the shortlists in 10 categories for the 97th Academy Awards. These include Documentary Feature Film, Documentary Short Film, International Feature Film, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music (Original Score), Music (Original Song), Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film, Sound, and Visual Effects. The nominations for the 97th Academy Awards will be revealed on Friday, January 17, 2025. The Oscars ceremony is set to take place on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Dolby Theatre in Ovation Hollywood. It will be broadcast live on ABC, streamed on Hulu, and aired across more than 200 territories worldwide.
