Oscars 2024: Emma Stone bags ‘Best Actress’ award for ‘Poor Things’, reaction to host Jimmy Kimmel’s sexist joke on her movie goes viral

Looks like Emma Stone wasn’t feeling too amused when comedian Jimmy Kimmel cracked a joke on her film ‘Poor Things’. Shortly after the Oscar-nominated black comedy was showcased at the 96th Academy Awards, with a montage, the host took a jibe at the movie, saying that the featured clips were the only appropriate scenes to be broadcasted, alluding to the movie’s explicit content.

As Kimmel cracked his joke, the cameras panned to Stone, who appeared to be whispering something in the ears of her husband Dave McCary. The moment has gone viral online and fans speculated on what she could have told him.

Several fans have concluded that Stone may just have called Kimmel a “pr***k.”

Despite receiving stiff competition from ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’ star Lily Gladstone, Stone bagged the Best Actress award for her tour-de-force performance as a female zombie who embarks on a quest of self-discovery and sexual emancipation after being revived in Victorian England. This is the second time she has bagged an Oscar in the acting category. She won her first Oscar for the 2016 romantic comedy ‘La La Land’.
