O'Romeo box office collection day-wise
According to Sacnilk.com, O’Romeo minted Rs 12.25 crore on Day 2, taking its total collection in India to Rs 20.75 crore. If it maintains the momentum, the film may cross the Rs 30 crore mark over the Valentine’s Day weekend.At the trailer launch of O’Romeo, Shahid Kapoor called his journey with director Vishal Bhardwaj an exciting and unpredictable one. He said every time they have worked together, it has felt special. Shahid shared that when he first met Vishal for Kaminey, he was nervous and even asked why he had been chosen for the role.
Vishal had told him that he saw something unique in him. After that came Haider, which Shahid described as a challenging part, followed by Rangoon and now O’Romeo. He added that he feels lucky to be part of Vishal’s films and was happy that the director reached out to him again after almost eight years. Shahid also revealed that he got a call from producer Sajid Nadiadwala and Vishal, and they ended up sitting on the floor for nearly two and a half hours discussing the script, and that’s how the film began.
Vishal Bhardwaj, in turn, spoke warmly about his bond with Shahid. He said that both of them have changed over the past decade, but they now understand each other very well. According to him, their partnership is unusual and different from any other collaboration he has had. He praised Shahid for growing not only as an actor but also in his technical understanding of filmmaking, even joking that he might direct a film someday. Teasing him further, Vishal laughed and said that Shahid can be a difficult person when it comes to understanding things, leaving the actor and the audience amused.

Besides Shahid and Triptii, O'Romeo also features Vikrant Massey, Tamannaah Bhatia, Avinash Tiwary, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal and Nana Patekar in key roles, along with several others. According to the makers, the film revolves around an intense and emotional story that delves into love, heartbreak and the lasting impact of rejected passion.The movie draws inspiration from a chapter in author Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai.
