It’s not easy to impress a woman, especially with the right choice of jewellery. Online jewellery portal Caratlane’s CEO Mithun Sacheti, who loves his diamond cufflinks and kurta buttons, says that in such a scenario, it helps that men can comb through their options on the web before walking into a store.

“Men sometimes don’t even know what they’re looking for. It’s embarrassing for them to ask the store attendant a million questions about jewellery,” says Sacheti.

A trend he has noticed lately is that having both an online presence and brick-and-mortar stores helps guys who are novices at buying
jewellery.

“A guy can check out the entire collection online. Then, he is more confident about making his final selection,” says Sacheti.
