Oprah Winfrey tweets about losing weight, earns $12 million
The 61-year-old TV host post about being able to lose 26 pounds, while still eating bread, increased the brand's shares by 18 per cent.

The 61-year-old media mogul is a shareholder in Weight Watchers.
After she posted a short video message about being able to lose 26 pounds, while still eating bread, shares in the weight loss brand, of which she owns $6 million, increased by 18 per cent, or around $2.10 per share, within an hour, according to Market Watch, reported Female First.
The multi-million dollar tweet shared a video link alongside a message, which read: "Eat bread. Lose weight. Whaatt? #ComeJoinMe (sic)"
In the 30-second clip, Winfrey said: "I lost 26 pounds, and I have eaten bread every single day."

She became a spokesperson for Weight Watchers in October, following the footsteps of the likes of Jennifer Hudson and Jenny McCarthy who have previously represented the group.
