NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker OPPO Monday launched its new budget device, Joy Plus, in the Indian market, and priced it at Rs 6,990.

"The smartphone market in India is constantly evolving and we intend to reach across sections through our budget Smartphone, Joy Plus. We are looking at aggressive market penetration this year and we are confident that Joy Plus, packed with latest features will provide our customers more personal and reliable mobile experience," Tom Lu, CEO, OPPO Mobile India, said in a statement.

The smartphone offers a Dual SIM card with 1700 mAh Li-Ion removable battery and runs on ColorOS 2.0 based on Android 4.4.

The OPPO Joy Plus features a 4-inch screen with a compact body. The device has Sony second generation stacked CMOS camera sensor. It offers a plug-in platform which provides an intuitive pick up and play format for you to turn your photos from idea to reality.
