NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone manufacturer OPPO is all set to launch its new F17 Pro, hailing it as the 'sleekest phone of 2020'.

The new smartphone will sport six AI portrait cameras - a dual selfie camera set-up in the front, and a quad-cam set-up in the rear. The rear square camera module is expected to house a 48MP, 16MP and two 2MP cameras. The F17 Pro cameras will come with a portrait expert and AI colour portrait feature. The selfie cameras will be 16MP and 2MP.

For the last one week, the company has been sharing feature update about the device. The device will come with a 7.48 mm UltraSleek body, weighing just 164 grams.


According to various tech experts, the device will be powered by MediaTek Helio P95 chipset, and come with a storage variant of 8GB + 128GB. Fans may get to chose from three colour variants - Matte Black, Magic Blue and Metallic White.

As per the rumours, the Oppo F17 Pro will come with 6.43-inch S-AMOLED Full HD+ screen.

With a powerful 4000mAh battery, the new phone is expected to support 30W VOOC Flash Charge technology.

Last week, the smartphone-maker also confirmed the launch of OPPO A53 under its A-series with 90Hz display and triple rear cameras today. In India, the smartphone comes in two storage variants - 4GB+64GB at Rs 12,990 and 6GB+128GB at Rs 15,490 - in three colours, electric black, fairy white and fancy blue.

It features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 1600 x 720 pixels resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio, and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor. The smartphone has a triple rear camera setup with a 13MP main shooter, a 2MP macro cam and a 2MP depth sensor. There is also a 16MP selfie camera at the front, with an f/2.0 aperture. OPPO A53 runs Android 10 with ColorOS 7.2 on top and is backed up by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
