OnePlus family to get bigger, Nord 2T will launch next week in India

The company is launching OnePlus Ace Speed Edition in China next week too.

Smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is all set to launch the Nord 2T next week. This will be an addition to the affordable Nord CE 2 Lite 5G it launched last month.

According to tech tipster Mukul Sharma, OnePlus Nord 2T will make its debut in India on May 19 (Wednesday). The 8GB + 128GB model was listed on AliExpress with a EUR 399 (around Rs 32,000) price tag.



Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC, it will come with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel and 90Hz refresh rate. Nord 2T will house a rear triple-camera set-up with 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor, 8MP ultrawide lens and 2MP monochrome sensor. For selfies, it will have a 32MP front camera.

The model will run on Android 12 with Oxygen OS 12.1 on top. It will also be packed with a 4,500 mAh battery and 80W fast-charging abilities.

Last month, the smartphone-maker launched premium 10R 5G and Nord CE 2 Lite 5G, along with Nord Buds in the India. The OnePlus 10R with 150W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition and the OnePlus 10R 80W SUPERVOOC start at Rs 43,999 and Rs 38,999, respectively.

Nord CE 2 Lite is available starting from Rs 19,999 and the OnePlus Nord Buds is priced at Rs 2,799.

Meanwhile, the company will exclusively launch Ace Speed Edition, an affordable sibling to the popular Ace smartphone, in China.

According to GSM Arena, the company's Weibo announcement confirmed that the OnePlus Ace Speed Edition will arrive on May 17 (Monday).

No specs about the phone have been revealed yet. One can only assume it will have an LCD, given how the fingerprint scanner is on the side. The images reveal a speaker grille, a USB-C port, a microphone and a 3.5 mm audio jack on the bottom, reported the outlet.

The GSM Arena report also said that the phone comes with TENAA certification, which showed that it will sport a 6.59-inch screen diagonal and a 2.85GHz CPU, likely part of a Dimensity 8000 chipset.

While there is no update on whether this device will come to India, experts are hopeful to see it make an appearance overseas under a new name.
