India made it a memorable Monday for millions of cricket fans as Kohli & Co trumped England in the second Test at Lord's. With this Team India now have a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

The encounter had its own share of drama and histrionics and tense moments followed by an unbeaten 89-run partnership between Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah which cemented India’s position and allowed them to declare just after lunch. England were bowled out with less than nine overs to go, helping India clock a 151-run win.

The win evoked emotional messages from the present and past bunch of players. Captain Virat Kohli, much enthused after the win, hailed the team’s collective effort, commitment and attitude. His actress-wife, Anushka Sharma, also lauded the team’s win in her Instagram Story with a series of clicks from the game.
