How many of us can dine out on a tale involving a US president, his secret service detail and a tennis match? Pramit Jhaveri, CEO, Citi India, has the bonafides to do so.

The story travels back to a time when Jhaveri was embarking on his career and Bush Sr had put his Presidency behind him. Invited to Mumbai to deliver a lecture on leadership, Bush Sr also had a game of tennis put on the schedule. Two promising lads from the bank were to join in, one of them being Jhaveri. The lead up to the match involved a quick dash to the President’s suite and then a ride to the South Mumbai venue in Bush Sr’s limo. So how did that friendly match end?
