On Twitterati request, Anand Mahindra to gift Mariyappan Thangavelu a golden car

He gifted cars to Olympic medalists Sakshi Malik, and then later PV Sindhu whilst giving into demands by twitterati, and now, Anand Mahindra is on a roll.

Mariyappan Thangavelu’s historic gold at the Rio Paralympics has struck a soft spot with the industrialist. On Sunday, Mahindra was once again inundated with thousands of tweets asking him to gift Mariyappan a car too, and he obliged, with a golden car this time.

Taking his gesture a notch higher, Mahindra tweeted on Monday, “I am adding a gift of `10 lacs from my personal a/c. His (Mariyappan’s) paralympian Gold was achieved against higher odds.” (sic) That’s twice as nice.
