On top of Digvijay Sinh Kathiwada's wish list: Kapil Dev’s signed blazer & cap from the 1983 World Cup

An eye for collector items comes naturally to Digvijay Sinh Kathiwada of the Kathiwada royal family. And while building a sports museum is on his mind, he has a rather ambitious memorabilia wish list for it. Kapil Dev’s signed blazer and cap from the 1983 World Cup win tops his list.

“The picture went viral in a non- digital age. But there is no way he ( Kapil Dev) will give them I have spoken to him about it,” he said.

Kathiwada wants Virender Sehwag’s bat that knocked 300 runs, MS Dhoni’s 2011 World Cup jersey and Anil Kumble’s 10 wicket ball “He (Kumble)is not going to give that up,” Kathiwada said with a smile. Lance Armstrong’s controversial seven Tour titles jersey would be a great catch too, he said.

While Kathiwada’s chances of getting these memorabilia may seem quite slim, he says with much optimism, “You never know”.
