On the grapevine: When 'realty' made an actress regret her decision

Even when building castles in the air, one has to be watchful of whom one is signing a deal with. A Bollywood actress, who has also tried her luck in Hollywood, learnt the hard way having fallen prey to a realty developer’s trick. The voluptuous actress was convinced by the builder,
who is currently entangled in a liquidity mess, to buy a trophy penthouse worth around Rs 40 crore from him for half the price.

As part of the deal, she was also asked to endorse a project of the builder and the balance amount was to be waived off as brand endorsement fees. The actress found it convenient to convert the unaccounted funds that she had received as part of her international tour. As expected, this turned out to be a trap as the agreement for the penthouse and the brand endorsement was never inked even after the actress parked her funds with the builder.

The actress is now left with no option but to lament her decision to part with her hard-earned money. Ah, c’est la vie.
