On the back foot: Ex-CAG Vinod Rai stumped at depth of vested interest in BCCI

The battle lines are drawn, with full tosses being delivered between the SC-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) and the BCCI members.

But the one thing that left even a former bureaucrat like Vinod Rai, who heads the committee, stumped was the depth of the vested interest in the organisation, he said in a recent interview.

So much so, that it was willing to go up against the might of the apex court. Rai shared that the CoA had never thrust a decision on the BCCI and that all decisions were by consensus. Guess the committee will have to continue playing on the back foot for a while longer.
