Google celebrated the 60th birth anniversary of Sridevi, the legendary Bollywood actress, with a vibrant doodle that adorned the search giant's homepage on Sunday. It served as a heartfelt tribute to her remarkable journey from a small Tamil Nadu village to becoming one of India's most iconic actresses.

The Google Doodle captured the essence of Sridevi's cinematic journey, depicting her in a poised dance pose that radiated the vibrancy of Indian cinema with warm tones.

Google credited Mumbai-based guest artist Bhumika Mukherjee for creating the artwork. "Today’s Doodle celebrates Indian actress Sridevi, who is widely considered one of the most influential Bollywood actresses of all time," they wrote.

Born Shree Amma Yanger Ayyappan on August 13, 1963, in Meenampatti, Sridevi's career began at a tender age of four, igniting her passion for the performing arts.

Her talent propelled her from child roles in Tamil cinema, like the acclaimed Kandhan Karunai, to becoming one of the most popular stars in the country.

Her illustrious career was punctuated by a string of cinematic hits, including timeless classics like 'Mr India', 'Nagina', and 'Chandni'.

With her roles, Sridevi shattered stereotypes and redefined the portrayal of women on screen. Her dedication to the craft earned her accolades, including the prestigious Padma Shri award from the Indian government in 2013.

Tragedy, however, prematurely dimmed the dazzling star. On February 24, 2018, Sridevi's untimely passing sent shockwaves through the industry. Initially attributed to cardiac arrest, her cause of death was later determined as accidental drowning, casting a veil of mystery over her demise.
