On LoC visit, Akshay Kumar shakes a leg to Bhangra beats; also donates Rs 1 cr to a school

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar visited a remote Tulail village along the Line of Control (LoC) in Gurez Valley of Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district on Thursday. He arrived at the Neeru village in a helicopter around noon.

Soon after his arrival, the 53-year-old actor interacted with the locals, and the Army and Border Security Force (BSF) troopers in the village.



A source confirmed to new agency IANS that 'Khiladi' Kumar donated Rs 1 crore for the construction of a school building in Neeru village of Tulail.

The 'Rustom' star took to social media to share four pictures of his memorable day spent with the BSF bravehearts. "Coming here is always a humbling experience… meeting the real heroes. My heart is filled with nothing but respect," he wrote.


The official Twitter accounts of BSF India and BSF Kashmir also shared several moments where the actor was seen playing volleyball, dancing to Bhangra beats and signing autographs.

Kumar, along with BSF Director General Rakesh Asthana, also paid floral tributes to the fallen soldiers.
