On 'daring mountain roads' tweet, netizens ask Anand Mahindra if he drives cars other than Mahindra. His reply is epic

The Mahindra Group boss, who is pretty active on the micro-blogging site and enjoys an ardent fan following on the social media platform, is often hailed for the kind of trust-worthy vehicles his company make.

But there are some questions that has always been on everyone's mind: What car does Anand Mahindra, the chairman of India's largest vehicle maker, drives? and if he drives anything else other than his own creations?

And a person on Twitter finally popped the question at the right moment.


Mahindra on Sunday took to his official Twitter handle to repost a picture of one of India's "most daring mountain roads with 70 continuous hairpin bends". The picture was of Kolli Hills, which is a small mountain range situated in Tamil Nadu and spread across the Namakkal district and Tiruchirapalli district

The zig-zag road stretches across the mountains rising to 1300 m in height and covering an area of approximately 280 kms.

Facinated by the road, Mahindra said the journey was phenomenal and requested Twitter to help him find the main behind building such a tricky road.

The billionaire further said that he only trusts his Thar for a ride on this road.

"You keep showing me how little I know about my own country! This is just phenomenal. I want to find out who built this road and then I will only trust my Thar to take me on it!" Mahindra tweeted.


His tweet, which received over 27K likes and over 2K retweets, was soon flooded with comments, one of which was a question by a gentleman regarding which car Mahindra drives.

"Sir do you drive cars other than mahindra?" the person asked.

And we have to give to the Mahindra boss for his epic reply which won the Internet today.

"You mean there are cars other than Mahindra?? I had no idea… ??" Mahindra cleverly asked. Of course, he also added the "just kidding" bit in brackets.


The businessman also shared a tweet by a man who revealed that he has driven on this road in his Thar, 2015 model.

"I have driven my Thar (2015 model) on this. Climbs like it was born for this. Climb was effortless. I have climbed Kalhatti ghat section to Ooty in Thar which is much more steeper. Again, the Thar loves the curves and the climb...," the man told Mahindra.
