On 9th anniversary, BTS treat ARMY with youngest member Jung Kook's new song 'My You'

The ninth anniversary of K-pop supergroup BTS had to be a unique one.

The youngest member of the popular boy band, Jung Kook, released a special song 'My You' on the special day. The track has both English and Korean lyrics.

The three-minute-long video on YouTube showed the lyrics in all social media templates such as SMSes, Instagram filters, posts, etc. In the song, Jung Kook thanks his team for the memorable ride.


Jung Kook has lent his voice to the song and has been co-produced with Hiss Noise. Here's a look at the song.


Meanwhile, their latest album 'Proof' sold over two million copies on the first day of its release, according to its entertainment agency.

The anthology album had sold a total of 2.15 million copies as of 11 p.m. Friday, just 10 hours after it became available in the market, according to Hanteo Chart, a South Korean music chart, news agency Yonhap reported.

It was the second time that the boy band's album sales surpassed 2 million on the first day, after its fourth album 'Map of the Soul: 7' in 2020.

The song, 'Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)' from the new album has been topping real-time charts of major online music streaming platforms. Its music video posted on the official YouTube channel has garnered nearly 50 million views.

Last week, another member from the band J-Hope became the first Korean artist to headline the upcoming Lollapalooza music festival.

According to the music extravaganza's official Twitter page, J-Hope will perform on Lollapalooza's closing day on July 31.


Lollapalooza, which opens on July 28, is an annual four-day music festival held in Grant Park in Chicago, US.

J-Hope also shared the announcement on his Instagram page and promised a "great show" to the audience.

Having released his first solo mixtape 'Hope World' in 2018 and collaborating with American singer Becky G on his 2019 hit single 'Chicken Noodle Soup', the rapper also has an active career as a solo artist.

Other headlining artists for this year's Lollapalooza include Metallica, Dua Lipa, J Cole, Green Day, Machine Gun Kelly, Lil Baby, and Kygo. BTS' Big Hit Music label fellow TOMORROW x TOGETHER (TXT) is also part of the fest line-up and the group will perform on July 30.
