In a moment that touched hearts across Andhra Pradesh, Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan shared a deeply emotional lunch with an elderly woman named Pothula Perantalu on Friday, May 10, 2025. The setting was not a grand stage or a political rally—it was the humble party office in Mangalagiri, transformed into a space of warmth, reverence, and human connection.

Perantalu, a devoted supporter from Kotha Isukapalli village in U. Kothapalli mandal, Pithapuram constituency, had made a heartfelt vow during the last general elections. She promised the local deity, Goddess Vegulamma, that she would offer a garaga—a traditional ornament—if Pawan Kalyan emerged victorious. With great faith and sacrifice, she saved ₹27,000 from her meager pension and fulfilled the vow with love and devotion.

When Pawan Kalyan heard about her extraordinary gesture, he personally invited her to his camp office. What followed was not just a meeting—it was a celebration of devotion and gratitude. The Deputy Chief Minister sat with her, shared a traditional meal, and personally served her food with humility and respect. He listened to her story with folded hands, eyes moist with emotion.

Deeply moved by her selfless act, Pawan Kalyan gifted her a saree and, learning that she had spent her pension for the vow, offered her financial assistance. But it didn’t end there. As a mark of genuine care, he personally walked her back to her vehicle, holding her hand, sending her off like family—with dignity, warmth, and love.

In contrast to this emotional gesture, Pawan Kalyan also made strong remarks at a press conference held earlier that week. Addressing the nation in light of Operation Sindoor, a recent strike by Indian armed forces on terror bases in Pakistan, he issued a stern warning to those making careless or anti-national statements online.

He cautioned celebrities and social media influencers against making irresponsible comments about national security. “Don’t bark on social media if you don’t understand national security,” he said, using sharp words to stress the seriousness of the issue. He called for citizens to report anti-national rhetoric and assured strict action against such voices.
