Ohh My Dog OTT release date locked: When and where to watch the Pankaj Tripathi starrer about a child's search for his missing dog

Bollywood actors Pankaj Tripathi and Pavan Malhotra-starrer Ohh My Dog will be making its OTT debut after completing its theatrical run. Directed and written by Amit Rai, the film explores the bond between humans and dogs while bringing an investigative element into its story. Ohh My Dog was released in cinemas on August 7, giving it a theatrical window of nearly eight weeks.

Ohh My Dog OTT release details and plot

The film is expected to start streaming on Netflix from October 1. While Netflix has not officially announced the OTT premiere date, the title is listed on the platform’s website.

Ohh My Dog tells its story across two timelines, with two different cases involving missing people and dogs.


One storyline follows Appu (Maahi Rai) and her indie dog Momo. Momo disappears after running out to fetch a ball, leaving Appu and her mother searching for him. Their search eventually points towards an illegal dog meat smuggling racket.

The second storyline centres on Prince, a young labourer in Bihar, who goes missing. His loyal dog Oscar then takes on an unusual role as he tries to find his missing owner.

The film combines a family drama with an investigative thriller, with the stories exploring loyalty, compassion, animal welfare and the relationship between people and their pets.

Pankaj Tripathi plays Appu’s teacher

Pankaj Tripathi plays Masterji, a compassionate teacher who helps Appu in her search for Momo. Maahi Rai plays Appu, while Pavan Malhotra is also part of the main cast.

The supporting cast includes Geeta Aggarwal Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Shreedhar Dubey, Vijay Mishra, Bulloo Kumar, Sulakhyana Baruah and Jitendra Joshi.

More than 250 dogs reportedly feature in the film.

Who made Ohh My Dog?

Amit Rai has written and directed the film, with Rajesh Bhardwaj, Amit Rai and Sana Warsi credited as producers. The project was backed by Babulal Biscope and Thinking Hat Entertainment Solutions and distributed by AA Films.

The technical team includes cinematographer Máté Herbai, who has worked on international films including On Body and Soul (2017). Aman Pant has composed the music.

Ohh My Dog has a reported runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The film was released in theatres on August 7. According to Sacnilk, Ohh My Dog collected ₹5.88 crore nett at the domestic box office.
