The sad and tragic final moments of actress Hayden Panettiere have become clearer following the release of a shocking 911 call. The newly released audio captures the desperate efforts to revive the 36-year-old actress who was found unresponsive in an apartment in South Carolina. In an effort to get help, the callers were guided on how to revive the actress by a dispatcher. Almost two months after her sudden demise, the recording presents a disturbing insight into how the well-known actress lost her life.

WHAT DID CHILLING 911 CALL REVEAL ABOUT HAYDEN'S FINAL HOURS?

According to ABC News,, which got the recording from Greenville County EMS under the Freedom of Information Act, the call for help was made on August 16, 2026 from Greenville, South Carolina.

It appears that the caller was Zach Hickerson, the brother of Brian Hickerson, who had been Panettiere's boyfriend. The caller is known to have gone to the apartment after coming back from church.

"Oh, god, oh, my god -- you do like CPR or something?" the caller can be heard saying in the recording.

In the roughly seven-minute call, the dispatcher tried to determine if Panettiere was breathing prior to giving instructions for CPR.

"Is she breathing?" the operator asked. "No," the caller responded.

The dispatcher then directed the caller to lay the actress down on her back and start resuscitation procedures. As things started unfolding, the dispatcher counted the chest compressions done by the caller.

However, despite all the frantic attempts, the emergency personnel could not resuscitate Panettiere, who was declared dead around 2:32 PM on the same day. This audio file clearly conveys the sense of emergency and chaos leading up to a tragic end.

Brian Hickerson claimed to have informed investigators that the two of them were already in South Carolina the night before she died. The morning of her death was apparently spent waking up, applying make-up, eating cereal, and falling asleep with Panettiere.

Later, Zach Hickerson came and found Panettiere unconscious. Brian reportedly gave Panettiere Narcan, which is used for reversing opioid overdoses.

Greenville City Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death, with assistance from the Drug Enforcement Administration, reported ABC News.

Panettiere and Brian Hickerson began dating in 2018, but their relationship was far from smooth. Over the years, they faced several controversies, including incidents that led to Hickerson's arrest and criminal charges.

In her 2026 memoir, 'This Is Me: A Reckoning', the Heroes actress opened up about the alleged abuse she experienced during their relationship, while also sharing her personal battles with alcohol and drug addiction.

Panettiere, remembered for her performances in Heroes, Nashville and the Scream franchise, died at just 36, leaving behind a celebrated Hollywood career and a grieving family.
