Office Space: Darshan Mehta, CEO, Reliance Brands

Unlike a typical CEO office, there's no high-rise chair looming over the desk in Mehta's swanky cuffe parade work space. Everything in the office is on the floor, not put up on walls. Mehta calls it, "My own visual merchandising and my own sense of décor".

Wave Rider: "The skateboards add to the vibrant atmosphere. I don't skate or surf, but I have them here as I feel positive and emotionally connected to them."

Toy Joys: "It's quirky, fun, and helps keep the child in me alive. I picked up this toy scooter from Hamley's."

Barbie Dreams: "It adds a bit of quirk to my office. One of our visual merchandisers had brought this in as a prop. I had asked them to get the most eclectic collection of chairs and there are many in the entire office. all different."




Best Foot Forward: "We had a fun party for diesel once. We picked up a stand-up comedian who had to bore the audience to death. We had hundreds of spray cans in all colours and people were dressed in white t-shirts & sneakers. The shoes are from that party. One of my assistants painted and gifted them to me."





Nude Tones: "Prokash Karmakar has done a lot of black-and-white paintings. This one is among the few he has done in colour."





Fact & Fiction: "The head of Superdry saw it in my office and asked if I liked the book. I said 'yes'. He immediately took his pen and signed it. At first I didn't know what he was doing, then I realised he shares his name with the author Gregory Roberts!"





Zen Retreat: "I used to work at this desk at Arvind Brands and it has been with me for 15 years. I carried it from Bangalore for nostalgic value. I often use it when I have to work peacefully."
