Off the record: A flyover to tide over NSCI traffic?

The National Sports Club of India in Worli has been catching some flak lately for exacerbating traffic in the vicinity each time an important official comes call ing to the venue or a high-powered event rol ls into town.

Last year CM Devendra Fadnavis's convoy held up traffic leading to a lot of criticism. The club's management wants to ensure that there's no repeat of such an incident in the future. They have writ ten several letters to Fadnavis requesting that a flyover be built near the venue. So far, there's been no result. The folks at NSCI are now planning t o approach Pr ime Minister Narendra Modi. Perhaps, the club has wisely surmised that no effort can be spared when it comes to building bridges.
