Now, get 'Fifty Shades of Grey' sex toys in India

Thatspersonal.com, a Mumbai-based portal selling high-end adult goods, has signed up with UK online sex shop Lovehoney to bring the official Fifty Shades of Grey range of sexual wellness products to India.

Samir Saraiya, CEO, thatspersonal (and formerly business development chief, Microsoft Singapore), confirmed this to ETPanache. The collection has over 50 products,including spanking rulers, handcuffs and beginners' bondage kits. Their price ranges from a couple of thousand rupees to upwards of Rs 20,000.

The products will be available on thatspersonal. com and leading e-commerce sites such as Flipkart and Amazon from December. Lovehoney has been selling the Fifty Shades range since October 2012.




The author of the book, EL James, even visited the company's warehouse once to help pack the products. Lovehoney was on the lookout for an Indian partner and had been following the progress of thatspersonal.

Richard Longhurst, co-founder, Love honey, said, "We had been monitoring the Indian market for two years and are very aware of thatspersonal's rapid growth. We had been looking for an Indian partner — Samir was a good fit."




Saraiya too thought the collection was in keeping with his business philosophy. "I have been in touch with Lovehoney for a couple of years," he said. "When I saw their Fifty Shades collection, I was blown away. From packaging to the products themselves, everything is premium quality. This is the Rolex of adult products. We met in Germany in October and finalised the deal."

Saraiya will advertise the products post December, in the lead-up to the February release of Fifty Shades of Grey, the film.
