Maharashtra Tourism has tied up with Cox and Kings for five years to launch 10 new itineraries for its luxury train Deccan Odyssey.

The train will make its way through Gujarat, Rajasthan and Delhi and will touch a few destinations in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. There are special spiritual packages to Shirdi.
There are itineraries covering the Gir forest (Gujarat) and Ranthambore Tiger Reserve (Rajashtan), when delicacies from these states will be served. But the main Maharashtrian menu will stay.
While a seven-night, eight-day journey in the presidential suite will cost Rs 6.7 lakh (approx), for a two-night, three-day journey you will pay Rs 1.21 lakh (approx).
(The restaurant has a predominantly Maharashtrian menu, but will offer delicacies from Gujarat and Rajasthan when the train touches these states.)
