Nothing has launched a new smartphone
Nothing has expanded its smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the Nothing Phone (4b), the first device in its new (b) series. Positioned below the flagship Phone (3), the new handset brings many of Nothing's signature features, including the transparent design, Glyph Bar, and Essential AI tools, to a lower price point.
One of the biggest highlights for Indian buyers is the battery.

While the global variant ships with a 5,200mAh battery, the India model packs a larger 6,000mAh cell, making it the biggest battery ever fitted to a Nothing smartphone. According to the company, it delivers up to 18 hours of mixed usage, 34 hours of music playback, and 27 hours of Instagram scrolling, while 33W fast charging can take the battery from empty to full in around 80 minutes.

The Phone (4b) continues Nothing's signature design language with a transparent camera module and a polycarbonate unibody inspired by the Phone (4a) Pro. It also carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. The Glyph Bar returns as well, now featuring 45 mini LEDs that are 40 percent brighter than before, allowing users to receive visual notifications, countdown timers, delivery alerts, and other app-based indicators.

On the front, the smartphone features a 6.77-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. Powering the device is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, paired with a vapour chamber cooling system that Nothing says enables smoother gaming sessions, including support for up to 90fps in Battlegrounds Mobile India.

For photography, the Phone (4b) includes a 50MP Samsung main camera with optical image stabilisation, alongside an 8MP ultrawide sensor. The device also inherits Nothing's TrueLens Engine 4 image processing pipeline and Google's Ultra XDR technology, while supporting features such as 4K video recording and Dual Video Capture.

Software remains a major focus. The Phone (4b) ships with Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16, complete with the company's Essential AI suite, including the dedicated Essential Key and Essential Voice with support for real-time translation in more than 100 languages, including Hindi. Nothing has also committed to three years of Android OS updates and six years of security patches.

Price and availability

The Nothing Phone (4b) starts at ₹29,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 256GB model is priced at ₹32,999. The smartphone will be available in three colour options and ships with a protective case and a pre-applied screen protector included in the box.
