Nothing phone (1) users will have to wait longer for Android 13! Update may roll out in 2023
Nothing has said that it is fine-tuning the software to suit the phone (1).

According to a recent report, the UK-based smartphone company has announced that it will release the Android 13 update to its maiden smartphone sometime in the first half of 2023.
Nothing has reportedly claimed that the delay is because the company needs to make some adjustments to the software experience before rolling it out to smartphones. Ever since the launch of Nothing phone (1), the brand has been rolling out several updates, however, these have been mostly related to improving the overall user experience.
The development came to light after Android Authority, a leading tech portal announced the delay in one of its reports. “We are always working hard to improve the Phone 1 user experience. In regards to Android 13, this will be launching for Nothing Phone 1 users in the first half of 2023. Before releasing, we want to fine-tune the software upgrade with Nothing's hardware. We will be sure to keep you updated with further information,” Nothing was quoted as saying by Android Authority.
Nothing phone (1) users will get software updates towards the end of the year, but those will be mainly rolled out by the company. The brand recently launched the Nothing OS version 1.1.3 update that came with a slew of features including camera enhancements and performance optimisations. Nothing smartphone has three years of Android updates and security updates for four years.
