Not so funny anymore: Mumbai Police Twitter handle lacks the former 'pun'ch!
Last year, when Mumbai police started tweeting, it was seen as a constructive step that opens communication between the public and the police.

However, when Ahmed Javed quit as the Mumbai commissioner and D D Padsalgikar took charge on Jan 30, things changed. We aren’t sure if the crime levels dropped, but what did drop was the account’s humour levels. The most we get from the handle now is a lazy pun. We write this in anticipation that the Mumbai police locks away the errant writing and brings back the pithy word play.
