A man recently revealed how he became a victim of nepotism
A software engineer shared his frustrating experience on the Reddit community Indian Workplace, alleging that favoritism and family influence cost him his newly secured job. According to his post, he had recently accepted a position with a company and moved from his hometown to Bengaluru entirely at his own expense. However, shortly after joining, he realized that the organization was being run like a family-controlled business.

He explained that the owner's son had become part of the company just a couple of weeks earlier and was assigned responsibilities that closely matched his own role. Before long, management informed him that his services were no longer required and asked him to submit his resignation, leaving him shocked and uncertain about his future.

Reddit Users Offer Advice and Encouragement

The post quickly attracted responses from fellow Reddit users, many of whom sympathized with his situation and encouraged him not to give up. One commenter advised him to remain in Bengaluru instead of returning to his hometown, pointing out that the city offered far better employment opportunities. The user also suggested that he focus on expanding his professional network and improving his skills while searching for another role in his area of expertise.

Responding to the advice, the software professional said he intended to stay in Bengaluru until at least the second week of July. He remained hopeful that he would secure another job during that period, though he admitted that continuing to live in the city without an income would soon become financially difficult if his job hunt took longer than expected.
