The track, Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke, from the Kannada pan-India film KD: The Devil, has landed in controversy over its allegedly “vulgar” lyrics. While some viewers have praised Nora’s dance performance, a large section of social media users has criticised the song’s lyrics and choreography, calling them inappropriate. Taking to X (formerly called Twitter), Armaan Malik shared his reaction without directly naming the makers, he expressed disappointment over the state of commercial songwriting. In his post, he wrote, "This showed up on my timeline, and I had to replay it just to make sure I heard it right. Sad to see commercial songwriting hit a new low..” When a fan asked about the approval process behind such lyrics, the singer responded that he was left speechless and wished he had not heard the track at all.

Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke is part of KD: The Devil, an upcoming Kannada-language action crime film directed by Prem.
